Microphone
The browser requests microphone permission only when you choose to speak. Audio is sent securely through our server to Azure for pronunciation assessment; Parla does not place recordings in its website files or local progress history.

Parla separates account handling, local learning progress and speech assessment so each part receives only what it needs.
Progress on this device
Attempt history, selected microphone and language preferences are stored in your browser. Reset local progress removes the saved practice history from that browser.
Account security
Math Kids Club remains responsible for login, account state and credit balance. Parla relays only approved account actions and never receives the account database or password-signing key.
Service credentials
Provider keys remain on the server. Usage records contain measured duration or character counts and charges; microphone recordings are not stored. Assessment results can be retained for up to one hour to recover a completed request.
