The browser requests microphone permission only when you choose to speak. Audio is sent by the Speech SDK for pronunciation assessment; Parla does not place recordings in its website files or local progress history.

Parla separates account handling, local learning progress and speech assessment so each part receives only what it needs.
Progress on this device
Attempt history, selected microphone and language preferences are stored in your browser. Reset local progress removes the saved practice history from that browser.
Account security
Math Kids Club remains responsible for login, account state and credit balance. Parla relays only approved account actions and never receives the account database or password-signing key.
Service credentials
The browser receives a short-lived speech token. Long-lived provider keys remain on the server and are not embedded in the application or PWA cache.
